At the age of three, in an attempt to connect with his father's convict heritage, Robin packed up his crayons, and immigrated from England to Australia. The next fifteen years would be spent going to school, drawing pictures and playing basketball. At 18, Robin again packed his bags and moved to California to attend college, draw pictures and play basketball. It wasn't until half-way through an ill-conceived psychology degree that Robin discovered illustration. After graduating from Westmont College with a BA in fine art, Robin twice attended the Illustration Academy where his love for and obsession with illustration was crystallized. Now residing in Adelaide, South Australia it is not Robin but his paintings that travel the world and are seen regularly in publications all over the United States.
