ARTIST BIO

Orit Bergman was born in Jerusalem and lives and works in Kerem Maharal, Israel. She writes and illustrates children’s books, and frequently contributes illustrations to newspapers, magazines, advertisement campaigns, and exhibitions. Her recent works include: Set design and illustrations for 'K', a Theater production by Clipa Theater created for The Israel Festival Jerusalem 2009, Comme Il Faut (summer catalogue and window design for the fashion chain), Israir (ads & calendar for the Israeli airline), the Bloomfield Science Museum, Jerusalem (Toys & Physics exhibition), and the set and play for a theater adaptation of her book Poor Shabtai. She studied at the Bezalel Academy of Arts in Jerusalem and at the School of Visual Arts NY. She teaches illustration in Bezalel School of Arts & Design.
