Laura Osorno was born in Bogota, Colombia. She has been illustrating since her last years of school. She studied graphic design in Bogota and has been based there ever since.

Her work has been featured in many children's books and magazines for different Publishing Houses such as Villegas, Alfaguara, Norma, Mapas (Mexico), and Numero.

Her clients include Dodicitrenta (Milan, Italy), Motel d' amour (Milán, Italy) Eje Records, Glowimages, Fedco, Diente de Leon, Colectiva Magazine (Costa Rica), Defensoria del Pueblo, Fucsia Magazine, The Spanish Embassy in Bogota, Brincabrinca, Fides, Popular de Lujo and Maloka.

A couple of years ago, she created a series of different characters featured in postcards, posters, plush dolls, finger puppets, pins and t-shirts. These characters include a shrink bunny with no heart and a neurotic overweight fairy, among others.
